Ferozepur, November 7, 2017: In major road accident today between truck and bus, four persons were killed and five seriously injured. Capt Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister, expressing deep concern over the tragic incident, has announced Rs.1 lakh ex-gratia to kin of accident victims besides free treatment to the injured persons.
He said it is an irreparable loss to the families of accident victims.
Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur also expressed his deep sorrow on the incident. He said, in this accident, Sudhir Kumar Grover Lecturer, Arjan Singh son Jaswant Singh, Paramjit Singh Bus Driver and truck driver were injured. The Chief Minister has announced Rs.1 lakh each to the kin of accident victims.
He further said, the treatment of injured in the victim will borne by the Red Cross Society and SDM Harjit Singh Sandhu and Secretary Red Cross are supervising the treatment of the injured.
The injured have been identified as Manpreet Kaur son Kashmir Singh, Surinder Kumar son of Ram Parkash, Amritpal Singh son of Harpal Singh Jandwala and Sukhjinder Singh son of Kashmir Singh who have been referred to Ferozepur, Faridkot and Amritsar for treatment.
Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, MLA Guruharsahai, Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA Ferozepur, Satar Kaur, MLA Ferzepur Rural and Kulbir Singh MLA Zira also expressed their grief and sorrow over this tragedy.
