Ludhiana, April 08, 2018: Renowned Poetess Ms. Surinder Sidak’s Punjabi Ghazal compilation “Rooh Di Gaani’ released in the city today. The Book was released by Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar along with stalwarts of the industry, to name a few Prof. Ravinder Bhattal and Manjinder Dhanoa from Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Prof. Gurbhajan Gill, Prof. Jaspal Ghai, Madam Sukhwinder Amrit, Sulakhan Sarhadi, Dr. Gulzar Pandher, Dr. Guriqbal Singh, Trilochan Lochi and Madam Gurcharan Kochhar. Published by Lok Geet Prakashan “Rooh Di Gaani” is a tale of a woman who has left her mother land and moved to a foreign land. The Book portrays the situational feelings of what a person undergoes while being alone at a distant place from home.
Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar said, to become a good writer one has to be a good reader and Ms. Surinder Sidak has proved the same. Reading a Ghazal from the book he describes, how intense is the mental state of a woman living in a foreign land.
While addressing the media Jaswinder Singh Zafar said, Surinder Sidak’s penned words have given the book an artistic color which is appreciable. He said, in this book Sidak has not only showed the pain of a woman but also the desires that are withheld. This is not only hers but a story in general.
Sulakhan Sarhadi a renowned name in the fraternity who is also a guide to Sidak said, her ghazals are so well written that a person gets fully engrossed into it. Talking on occasion Poetess Surinder Sidak who belongs to Abohar, Punjab now settled in Australia said, my loneliness in the foreign land made me a poetess. She humbly thanked all for supporting her in this endeavor specially mentioning
Tarsem Raahi(Designer from Malout) for beautifully depicting the title in the Cover of the Book. She highlighted that this Book is also being released in Audio Format under the banner of Mangla Records(Chandigarh) to enable ghazal lovers to listen and relish.
