SBI declares Fatehgarh Sahib village fully digital
Fatehgarh Sahib, August 1, 2020 :
State Bank of India, Branch Burass District Fatehgarh Sahib has declared village Burass a fully digital village and 100% secured village under PMSBY. The complete digitalisation of the village was inaugurated by Chander Shekhar Sharma, GM, FIMM Network. On this occasion, Paramjeet Singh SodhiRegional Manager RBO FIMM Patiala Rohit Kumar,Chief Manager, Branch Channel, Arvind Gupta Chief Manager Financial Inclusion were also present.
Speaking on the occasion Sharma told that the village Burasshas been completely covered by having all the shops enabled with digital products of our bank. He said that the village is also fully covered under PMSBY which imparts a cover of Rs.2.00 Lac for personal accident insurance to the villagers. Sarpanch of Burass village Rajni Sood also confimed and handed over a certificate in this regard to Sharma confirming coverage of all eligible villagers under PMSBY.
To make the village digital, a door to door campaign was conducted by SBI DSH team Mohali along with Branch staff with the support of village sarpanch. Population of Burass village is approx 2264 which will be highly benefited with the digitalization of village.
SBI is always is remain in ahead in launch in Tech- initiatives to improve banking experience by making banking transaction very easy for its customers through various applications. At present YONO is the single application for all banking and lifestyle needs, the benefits of which were also shared on this occasion. Two CSPs also made functional in the vicinity of village for providing digital services from 8 to 8 and open for 7 days.
During month of July SBI has digitalized 5 villages of Punjab namely Julkan, Sainserwal of Patiala Distt. Bathuha and Bhurthala Mandher of Sangrur Distt and Village Burass of Fatehgarh Sahib. This initiative of SBI will continue in future also for on boarding more villages on digital platform.
