5-day certified training programme by CICU gets underway
Ludhiana, February 17, 2018: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) kick-started 5-Day Certified Training on Enterprise Excellence here from Saturday.
The 5-month long training program- one session in a month- will be conducted from February 2018 to June 2018.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU said that the objective to organized this program is to helps in the business growth of the company and more profit earning in addition to culture change by way of engaging people in value adding activities.
The program would provide the necessary insight and not the only the theory aspects but also practical aspects of the implementation on the shop floor. The program design and delivery ensures that the participants get clarity on the concepts of Best Business Practices and are able to implement these in their units, added Ahuja.
Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU said that the workshop helps you towards understanding the new standards of Lean/Kaizen/Operational Excellence in a very realistic manner. It will also helped to get break through remedies of all your business challenges. Business opportunities. He further said that it will highly beneficial to Business Managers including Quality, Production, Material, Plant Managers & respective fields relating to Enterprise Excellence.

The interactive session was conducted by Dr. Ashok Puri. He has been a senior faculty of BITS-Pilani, IP University, for their MBA Consultancy Management Programs. He has authored two course books also. He has been a visiting faculty to LBSNAA, Mussourie and taking classes of Senior Officers on 5S, Kaizen/Lean. He is also part of MSME Developer forum for promoting excellence in MSME Sector.
He enlightened the participants with concepts like Assessment through Self Awareness and Understandings of Strength and Weaknesses (SWOT Analysis), SLIM-Introduction & Benefits, Develop vision, Mission and Purpose, Goal Setting-Organizational and Individual and Building teamwork, trust Organizational Structure.
NK Gupta, program coordinator, CICU said that knowledge shared in this program if implemented effectively will definitely benefit the industry and trade sectors of Punjab.
The program was attended by 30 participants from different industrial sectors like auto components, fasteners, garments & textiles, bicycle components, agriculture & horticulture machinery and machine tools etc.
