Spicejet’s Delhi-Adamapur daily flight from May 1

Jalandhar, April 15, 2018: Adamapur airport in Jalandhar district of Punjab will become operational with start of the domestic circuit flight services from May 1.
Union minister Vijay Smpla, in the presence of Rakesh Kalra, Regional Executive Director, Airport Authority of India (AAI) on Saturday kick-started the Spicejet’s 6th UDAN route marked by the first online booking for the Adampur-Delhi flight.
Adampur is the second largest military airbase of India and located in the Punjab’s Doaba region NRI belt. There was no direct flight from this region earlier to Delhi. Any traveler had to first travel to Delhi via an Amritsar flight.
“Spicejet is the first and only airline to connect Delhi-Adampur with direct flights with the introduction of the daily direct flight services on the Delhi-Adampur route making it our sixth destination under the Regional Connectivity Scheme,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Sales and Revenue officer, Spicejet
Passengers from Adampur can now conveniently travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet's domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from Delhi.

The Spicejet has announced a limited period special introductory all-inclusive one-way fare of Rs.2062 for Delhi-Adampur and Rs.1950 for Adampur-Delhi. The offer is applicable for bookings made on a first come first serve basis.
The flight number SG8731 with 78 passengers seating capacity will take off from Delhi’s domestic airport at 3 pm and it will land at Adampur at 4.45 pm.
The return flight SG7832 will take off at 5.05 pm and reach Delhi at 6.15 pm.
The normal baggage allowed to the passenger will be 15 kg but the passengers traveling abroad, a special benefit has been granted. Those travelling abroad with valid visa along with other documents will be allowed to carry luggage over 20 kg and more.
