Chandigarh, April 5, 2020: CREDAI Punjab has contributed more than Rs 1 crore to help the needy in this hour of distress when society is facing the social distancing and lockdowns.
This is a crucial hour where disaster management, survival & restart for the Real Estate are the major challenges.
CREDAI Punjab President Jagjit Singh Majha says the builders will bounce back definitely and if India is to kick start and bring back the economy on the track, Real Estate is the only sector which can help in real sense.
Builders/Developers community has contributed more than Rs 1 crore to supply food packets/ groceries to the underprivileged section of the society in different villages of Mohali, New Chandigarh, Zirakpur, Dera Bassi, Jalandhar and Amritsar.
CREDAI Punjab is holding regular video conferencing with the Executive level and the members to monitor & support the needy.
CREDAI Punjab is even helping in the sanitization drive and guiding the citizens. A commendable work has been done in New Chandigarh, Mohali, Zirakpur and Derabassi areas by a number of leading developers.
Real Estate being the largest employer after agriculture, employing 4 crore people and supporting the 269 industries can prove to be a major help in the revival of the economy.
Majha believes that since a number of businesses are being hampered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government should come up with liberal policies to wave off the interest on the pending fees/EMIs so that the real estate should be in a position to give regular salaries and support to the worker class.
This will help in bringing the system on track within a short span. The spirit should be to support the community by heart.
