Ferozepur, May 21, 2020: Anti-terrorism day is celebrated in India on May 21 - which is also the death anniversary of India's former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. The aim of this day is to promote and send out the message of global peace and non-violence.
On this day, the students of local DCMI School while sitting at home during the lockdown 4.0 period prepared collage and video, wishing terrorism-free India.
Highlighting the aims of the day, Principal Sangreeta Nistendra, it is the day to recognize the sacrifices of thousands of soldiers who have, over the years, fought against terrorism by risking their lives.
She informed the students of 9th and 10th class made a collage on the theme – A War Against Terrorism - while the Dance Teacher, Jagriti clicked a video in which a message of terrorism India and peace was given besides portraying the integrity of India.
Nistendra said, at present, the threat we face from external forces is more than some threat facing the country. We need to focus on advancing the greatness of India by freeing society from crime and intoxication and spreading the light of education to every citizen so that the country will again emerge as the ‘world guru’ and be called the ‘gold bird’. She said we all should raise our voice openly against terrorism and act in the interest of the country.
