Chandigarh, March 25, 2024: To promote inter-faith harmony with the spirit of unity in diversity, people of all religious communities joined Hindus in celebration of Holi at the Holi Milan Samaroh, with the theme Bharat Ke Rang Modi Ke Sang (Colours of India with Modi), jointly organized by the Indian Minorities Foundation (IMF) and Purvanchal Welfare Association at Dussehra Ground in Balongi area of Mohali (SAS Nagar) on Sunday.
Besides residents of Purvanchal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, a large number of people from other faiths including Muslims, Sikhs, Christian and Jain communities joined Hindus residing in Mohali, Chandigarh, Panchkula and adjoining areas in this inter-faith celebration of Holi.
Besides Purvanchal Welfare Association office bearers Rajender Singh, DK Singh, UK Singh, Rajiv Gobind Rao, a large other dignataries were also present on the occassion.
On the occasion, people of all communities praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's role in bringing people of all religions in the country like a bouquet of colourful flowers with his mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. They said due to the all-inclusive development done by PM Modi in the past 10 years, India today has become is a shining example of different religions and cultures co-existing like the different colours of a beautiful rainbow.
Hailing PM Modi's leadership, members of the Muslim community said years ago all festivals including Holi were celebrated by all communities together but as the politics of appeasement had created divisions in the society, the practice had come to an end. But now PM Modi's leadership has re-established similar communal harmony in the past 10 years and even Muslims are coming out to celebrate festivals like Holi again with Hindu community after years, they said.
Women from Purvanchal said PM Modi has brought colors of freedom in their lives with historic decisions with 'historic steps' for equal participation and empowerment of every woman in the country.
They said from abolition of Triple Talaq, passage of Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam (Women's Reservation Bill) to opening of doors for women candidates in all three wings of Indian defence forces, PM Modi has taken game changing initiatives to socially and economically empower women and elevate their status with schemes like Jan-Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission and Jal Jeevan Mission.
Residents of Purvanchal (Uttar Pradesh and Bihar) said after decades of neglect, the Hindi heartland and Purvanchal in particular is witnessing a revolution in development under PM Modi who has adopted Varanasi as his Karmbhumi (land of vocation) to make the present an future of the region brighter.
Praising PM Modi's all-inclusive policies, community members from different faiths said that India is more united than ever before and people of all religions live harmoniously. They said PM Modi has painted the nation one colour by bringing people from all communities together which is making people from all communities celebrate festivals together.
Attired in their colourful outfits, people from Purvanchal danced their hearts out on traditional Bhojpuri beats. The gathering at the Samaroh grooved to songs sung by star Bhojpuri singers Sudhil Dubey, Nisha Pandey, and Jitu Prajapati.
Festival of Holi has become festival of unity under PM Modi, says Purvanchal Welfare Association member
A businessman Rajiv Gobind Rao, who is resident of Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh but residing in Mohali for 31 years said,"Ever since PM Modi has come to power, we have been able to celebrate every festival together with all communities.
Under PM Modi's leadership we are celebreating every festival with harmony and unity like never before. Today the festival of Holi has also become a festival of unity with PM Modi who is not here but we feel as if he here to celebrate this festival of colours with us,".
"PM Modi has done a lot for the counrty and lots of development is there throughout the country. The development of towns and roads in states like Uttar Pradesh is worth seeing under PM Modi govenrment. The cleanliness has also improved like never before under PM Modi's govenrment," he added.
PM Modi equally empowered every every community, India more united now than ever before : Muslims
Abdul Zabbar, a native of UP Sultanpur, residing in Chandigarh for over 26 years now, said, "After years, we are celebrating Holi and other festivals of different religions with zealnow. This has been possible under Modi Modi government as today the strong message of communal harmony is getting spread all across the country and people irrespective of their religious identity are coming togather to celebrate all festivals together."
"Under PM Modi all-inclusive development has taken place in the country today and not just Minorities but every community has been empowered equally. Bharat ka Rang Modi ke sang. Ekta ka rang Modi ke Sang. The foundations of this New India are very strong and no one can weaken them now. Today, we are all united than ever before,” he added.
Another member of the Muslim Community said, "In a diverse nation like ours, unity remains our hallmark, and to sustain it, effective leadership like that of Prime Minister Modi is imperative. Prime Minister Modi's initiatives, guided by the vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' through 'Sabka Prayas', have facilitated inclusive development across India. Since assuming office in 2014, PM Modi has championed non-discrimination among all communities, which is evident from schemes such as the PM Awas Yojana and equitable provision of scholarships to minorities.”

Praising PM Modi's slogan of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat', a Sikh, Daler Singh Mamupuri said people of all religions are celebrating Holi festival together with the same spirit. "PM Modi has connected not only the country but also other countries with himself. During these 10 years of tenure, a wave of development has been seen in every sector under the leadership of PM Modi.
He has played an important role in opening the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. Due to which there is an atmosphere of happiness in the Sikh community. PM Modi has made Digital India successful. I am feeling very happy that Holi is being celebrated well by the Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and Christian communities togather, ".
Another Sikh, Sarpanch Bahadur Singh of Balongi village said,"It is our good fortune that a Holi festival conference is being organized in our village today. Pm Modi has brought people of all religions in the country togather like a bouquet of colourful flowers with his mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.
Praising PM Modi's performance in past 10 years, Sarpanch Bahadur Singh said PM has strongly appealed to the people of the country to make any festival successful with participation of members of every religion.
"A PM with such thinking has never come and will never come. Just as every color blends with every other color, similarly if every religion of ours blends with every other religion, then this is the proof of the unity of our country. Just as PM Modi has opened the Kartarpur Corridor for Sikhs, he has also fulfilled the long standing demand of Hindus to build a temple in Shri Ram city Ayodhya. It is the result of PM Modi's leadership that he takes people of every religion along. Due to which the overall development of the country is taking place," he added.
A Sikh Community member said, “Today, as the nation comes together to celebrate Holi together, the radiant colours of unity are rekindling in every household and every heart throughout the country. It gives the message that India stands together as One Nation, One Family in every walk.
Although it had been deeply rooted in our Indian culture but had gradually lost its essence over time, PM Modi has revived it all over again by nurturing a sense of inclusiveness and unity among all Indians. PM Modi has always worked for every community without discrimination, and the Sikh community, like every other community, has equally benefitted from all the policies and initiatives of the Modi Government. His remarkable efforts for the Sikh community are widely respected by all of us, and we only anticipate goodness and blessings for our Prime Minister.”
Walking shoulder to shoulder with men now due to empowerment initiatives taken by PM Modi, say Women
Rita Singh, a resident of Bhagwanpur district of Bihar, said that PM Modi has empowered women during the past 10 years of his government. "Ten years ago women felt unsafe. But now women are now feeling safe due to the initiatives taken during these 10 years of PM Modi's tenure. Today we are completely capable of achieving any position with any fear. Along with this, the work of providing free LPG connection under the Ujjwala scheme has helped women like us in making our kitchens smokeless. Women are also getting the benefits of Ayushman Bharat, Sukanya Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana. The credit for making these schemes successful lies with the far-sighted thinking of PM Modi. The result of this is that today we are experiencing the joy of every color in our lives on the festival of Holi," she added.
Chhaya Rani, a resident of West Bengal (Calcutta), said for the first time since Independence, women have got real freedom in these 10 years of Modi government. "Now lives of women have become a lot better with the policies and schemes brought by PM Modi's govenrment. Now women can do anything in their lives as the support system for this has been created by PM Modi. Earlier policies were made for women but they were incomplete and brought no results. But PM Modi has brought great changes to better our lives. The result of this is that today, thanks to PM Modi, women are walking shoulder to shoulder with men," she added.
Under PM Modi no one can stop India from becoming global superpower: say Hindu community during Holi celebrations
Lauding PM Modi's performance in the past 10 years, Manish Singh, resident of Mohali said, "PM Modi had a vision for India and as part of that vision he is ensuring development for all communities and he is ensuring that all communities play their part in nation building equally. Today, due to efforts of Modi government in uniting India, our Muslim brothers celebrate Holi and we celebrate Eid with them. Under PM Modi in past 10 years, the stature of India has seen sea change world over today and Indians get respect where ever they visit,".
"The security of India has improved under Modi government, during pandemic the government has done exceptional work and employment has also been generated on a large scale in past 10 years of Modi government. This is the power of united and intact India. If in this election PM Modi wins with more than 400 seats then no one can stop India from becoming a global superpower. Hum bhi hain Modi ka Parivaar," he added.
Rajiv, a native of Uttar Pradesh said, "Modi government has ensured Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas and every community and every section of society is benefiting from schemes implemented by the government in past 10 years.
"The manner in which Modi government has ensured unity today, India will reap its benefits in the years to come; will take the conutry forward and make it Vishwa Guru soon. Bharat ke Rang Modi ji ke Sang aur main bhi hun Modi ji ka Parivaar. Ekta ka Rang Modi ji ke Sang," he added.
