13 Central jail inmates get computer training to earn a living

Ferozepur, May 18, 2024:: Intending to make the prisoners self-reliant, under the Community Outreach Program (CRP), 13 inmates at the Central Jail received computer education, free of cost, at the Computer Centre being run by DCM Group of Schools in collaboration with District Legal Services Authorities and the jail administration. Today, on completion of the course, certificates were awarded to the prisoners by District and Sessions Judge Virinder Aggarwal, when DCM Group CEO Dr Anirudh Gupta, Civil Judge Senior Division Raman Sharma, Jail Superintendent Satnam Singh and other officials were also present.
CEO Dr Gupta said that in all three batches, around 50 prisoners have been certified for skill development with computer education. Under this course, basic computer education was given to the prisoners in which information related to Word, Excel, and data entry was given so that they could become self-reliant in the use of computers and start a new life after release. He said that soon the fourth batch of this course will also be started.
Session Judge Virinder Aggarwal appreciated the efforts being made by DCM Group and said that this course will help the prisoners to move ahead in life and create a better future.
Present among others on this occasion were DCM Group's IT Academic Head Puneet Goyal, Group's APRO Akshay Galhotra, Trainers Manohar Narula and Anuj Teji, Anuj Jaiswal, and Naveen Jaiswal.
