Jalandhar, December 14, 2017: In a view to provide an additional set of well being and safety services to the students, CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar in association with Tata AIG insurance launched a joint initiative to provide insurance coverage to its 2485 (2400 Indians and 85 International) students under the Students Safety Insurance.
Under the safety coverage all the First year students of CT Group of Institutions are insured for four different risks that include Death only, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement and Hospitalized Expenses. Students shall not be charged any money as all the expense of premiums for insurance will be borne by the CT Group of Institutions. All the students were given the cover notes for their insurance by Mr. Rohit Kumar, Agency Manager of Tata AIG. As per the cover note, the Indian and foreign students will get Rs 1, 00,000 insurance on Accidental Death. The hospitalization expenses due to accident would have cover up to Rs 10,000 for Indian students and up to Rs 1, 00,000 for each foreign student or actual whichever is less.
Explaining in detail, Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions said, “It is a well known fact that hospitalization and surgical costs have risen tremendously throughout the years. Medicare costs do not only involve medication but also a host of other related services/equipment such as surgery, diagnostic tests, physiotherapy, purchase or rental of medical equipment, ambulance services etc. Our, this initiative is an effort to showcase our concern toward every students who took admission in our Institutions.”

Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said, “In the overall interest of teaching as well as parent fraternity both CT Group of Institutions and Tata AIG Insurance have joined hands to protect the physical well being of the students on rolls in all the branches of our institutions."
