Jalandhar/Kapurthala, February 19, 2018: To promote international and intercultural understanding and academic cooperation-collaboration I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU), signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Canadian University of the Fraser Valley (UFV). On behalf of the host Institution, Additional Chief Secretary Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training cum Vice Chancellor IKGPTU M.P. Singh, IAS signed on MOU document and from the side of University of Fraser Valley Vice Provost and Associate Vice-President (Academics) Peter Geller, PhD was the signatory authority.
During the briefing about MOU, Dean IKG PTU Dr. N.P. Singh said that this MOU is to provide a framework for the future development of academic and educational cooperation at global level. The purpose of this MOU is to exchange visits of faculty members, researchers, administrative staff, students and the development of study abroad and to run short-term academic programs.
Dr. Singh told that assessing the potential for transfer and degree completion programs, organizing of conferences, seminars, sports event & competitions, symposia or lectures as well as exploration of common research interests and other forms of academic collaboration are also on agenda through this MOU.
On this Occasion, Registrar IKG PTU Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Finance Office Dr. S.K. Mishra, Assistant Registrar Saurabh Sharma were also present.
