Mohali, March 20, 2018: Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) replaced the Mathematics question paper of Class Plus Two on Tuesday across the state.
In a communication to the concerned district education officers, the PSEB authorities directed them not to open the sealed question papers of the Mathematics subject received by them from the banks on Tuesday, March 20, the day on which the concerned subject examination was held.
The paper was to start at 2 pm. Sources said the PSEB authorities got wind of its 'leakage' at around 11.30 and sent instructions about its replacement to district officers.
Instead, the all district officers were asked to ensure the students appearing for the examination were given the new question paper sent to them by email.
In the communication, no reason was given for the sudden replacement of the question paper but 'leakage' of the paper is believed to be the reason behind this.
