War on Drugs:
DC calls upon students to keep an eye on their parents also to monitor drug menace
Ferozepur, July 18, 2019: As a part of the awareness campaign – a battle against drugs - started by Chander Gaind, Deputy Commissioner, by daily visiting the schools in the district and interacting with students in the morning assembly, visited three schools today at Bareke, Karian Pehlwan and Khai.
Deputy Commissioner has started the mission against drugs to make sure that there are no new entrants in this menace as some of the already addict are under treatment or they will face the consequences if they don’t mend their life style.
In all the three schools, Deputy Commissioner had a great time while interacting with school kids. DC is preparing the young guns to be able to take on it with full force and also keep an eye on their parents to monitor the drug consumption.
Addressing the students in their language, Deputy Commissioner said, Health should be your priority, followed by education. If you are keeping a good health, you can acquire the knowledge through education which will pay you to earn money to live a comfortably for the rest of your life.
He asked the students to share if you find anyone taking or selling drugs in your family or in your area, to your buddies to initiative preventive measures at the appropriate level.
Deputy Commissioner also expressing concern over the downward graph of health environment and depletion of water table, asked each student to not only plant one sapling by giving a suitable name but also see it grown up every day by taking care with giving water.
He said, the parents, society and nation has high expectations from all of you as you are the future of the country.
