International Students launching the poster of AIU International Youth Festival at Chandigarh University
Teams from more than 26 countries would be taking part
Association of Indian Universities (AIU) would be hosting India's first International Youth Festival from 25th-27th September at the campus of Chandigarh University. Folk Dance Artists, Musicians, Tribal Dancers from 26 countries including India will be taking part in the 6 categories of competitions. Inaugural ceremony of AIU International Youth Festival would take place on 25th September in which a colorful procession displaying the rich culture and dances of their respective countries would be displayed. General Secretary, AIU, Dr. Pankaj Mittal and Joint Secretary AIU, Baljeet Singh Sekhon would be presiding over the ceremony. Ambassadors of Russia, Czech Republic, Egypt would be special guests for the occasion
More than 600 International artists would be competing against each other in 6 different category of events which includes Best Folk Dance, Best Instrumental Music, Best Traditional Dance and others. More than 8 teams from India are taking part in the AIU International Youth Festival. The closing ceremony will be held on 27th September in which winners would be honored by AIU. The aim and theme of International Youth Festival is to promote peace and harmony among the nations through the exchange of culture, values and traditions
