Sufi Night with Satinder Sartaaj dazzled the audience
Chandigarh, November 13, 2019: “We are striving hard to bring back the lost glory of Punjab so that Punjab becomes the number one state of India. Job opportunities, Infrastructure, Drugs, and clean & safe environment are the foremost factors which are being worked upon by the government” said Punjab Minister of Sports & Youth Affairs and NRI Affairs, Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi during the inauguration of 14th National Techno-Cultural fest of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran ‘Parivartan 2019’ as it commenced today with the theme ‘One for All, All for One’ aiming to highlight the teachings and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in commemoration of his 550th Birth Anniversary. The minister revealed that the government will be collaborating with CGC, Landran to organise one-of- a- kind job fest by the end of December 2019 and this will be different from all the earlier Job Melas which have already offered jobs to over 10 lakh youth”.
The first day of the event featured 24 technical, 15 non-technical and various cultural events. Students from various schools and colleges from across the country participated in the annual event of CGC wherein technical events such as project display, Robo-Soccer, CAD Modeling, Ideathon etc while, the non-tech events; Best out of waste, Ad Mad Show, Poster Making are amongst the host of others. This was followed by a fashion show along with a career fair where 3500 school students were seen gaining guidance for their careers ahead.
Sharing the views on the occasion, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran said, “This was indeed a record breaking year for CGC in terms of number of placements, research & innovation, sports and what not! We have dedicated this year’s Parivartan to the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Jit who was the biggest change maker of our History”. Keeping the exuberance intact, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran said, “Not only Indians and the Sikh community but the whole world is celebrating the auspicious day and we are glad that CGC Students are on the path of wisdom.”
The first day of the event wrapped up with a live performance of Sufi Singer, Satinder Sartaaj. The 2nd day would be featuring Bollywood heartthrob, Darshan Raval who would be performing live as well.
