“The release timed with the auspicious navratras is my humble offering to the divine,” said Rakhee Gupta. “Devotional songs touch the core of our very existence. They give us space to sprout our potential, awaken the beauty of the heart and spirit.”
The devotional song dedicated to Lord Krishna is set against some of the most picturesque pilgrimage sites including Vrindavan and the banks of the Yamuna. The video shows Rakhee absorbed in religious ecstasy and her whole being resonating to the divine tune.
The solo number unveils the hitherto unknown facet of this IAS officer presently serving the Punjab Government as Resident Commissioner of Punjab at New Delhi.
Rakhee has already proved her mettle as an officer. She has been awarded the coveted Stree Shakti Puruskar for her administrative and leadership acumen. The award was conferred upon this alumna of Lady Shri Ram College and Delhi School of Economics by the President of India. She is an M Phil in Defence and Strategic Studies from the National Defence College.
She also has many prestigious assignments to credit. A recipient of the President of India’s Silver Medal for Census Operation in 2001, Rakhee Gupta was deputed by the Government of India to Bhutan for overseeing the first Parliamentary elections as a National Observer. She also served NIFT as Director, Joint Secretary, Home Affairs and Deputy Commissioner Faridkot.
