Jalandhar, September 25, 2016: The School of Fashion Design of Lovely Professional University organized five Day Styling Workshop at its campus and the workshop was conducted by the internationally renowned Fashion stylist Anuj Lalwani for the grooming of students and to train them to face the fashion world by perfection. Anuj Lalwani is working as Fashion Designer and Stylist in the Indian Market for last 12 years and he made recognition in Fashion & Retail profession. He is an alumni of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi. He assisted well-know fashion designer & exporter Mr. Roubal Dunglay. He also managed his high-end stores in many cities, which retailed brands of all the top designers from Rohit Bal and Sidharth Tytler to Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna.
To motivate the students for entrepreneurial career, he told students about his professional life, and shared how he made his own brand name “Anuj Lalwani”. He has also shared how he added several feathers in his cap by being associated with several prestigious shows, including the Siyaram’s Star Miss India in many cities. He has designed Femina Miss India’s contestants, and even Diesel Model of Opal Astra. He regularly conducts and choreographs his Fashion shows to showcase his collections. He is judging Icon India Pageant, and he has choreographed the various ramp shows along with grooming models by giving personality development classes.
He said it's not as hard as it seems and there are lots of ways that you can set yourself up for real success as a fashion designer. Don't expect to become the next Alexander McQueen overnight (fashion design is a competitive industry that takes a lot of hard work) but you can get there. The workshop was devoted to training the students in different creative endeavors like body fit, make up, dressing sense, jewellery and accessories, ramp walk and many more. More than 100 students of B Design, M Design and BSc Fashion Technology participated in the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion LPU pro chancellor Mrs. Rashmi Mittal observed that fashion styling is one of the most popular and booming professions in the fashion world globally. While motivating the students Mrs. Mittal congratulated the students for their quick learn an innovative out of the box thinking and styling progress.
During the five days the students also learned about how to conduct advertising campaign shoot for jewellery and accessories. Professional hair stylist Mr. Johny from brand “Parcan Oleega” briefed the students about various make ups, and style enhancing tips. NIFT designer Sidharth Kakkar also showcased his designer wears for the students to get ideation.
The workshop was concluded with fashion show by fashion design students to showcase the looks created by each one of them. The participating students, Megha Bhatt and Aditya Raina informed: “All of the students did the entire work, from the face to the hair, personally. Every gesture down to how an accessory is to be worn, which way the footwear is to be tied, was planned out in advance. All of the participants were looking bold in dressing ourselves and carried the same with immense confidence for facing the Jury.”
