My Ratings-2.5/5 stars
Chandigarh, 1st June 2018: (Vikram Bawa) Veere, Veere, Veere means bro”s… It’s not all about four gutsy girls just giigling, puffing cigarettes, fearlessly talking about & having sex only (an “A” rated movie) but looking forward to a better life with pre and post marriage challenges through out to make a way for settlement infighting within .
After finishing their school these four childhood friends meet again for the wedding of one of their veere’s. Kareena Kapoor (Kalindi) Where they found each other and understand marital intricacies facing by each of them.
It moves on around some lives of these friends Kareena Kapoor (Kalindi-kaloo) veere who is never ready to get married instead looking for answers about this sacred bond. Sonam Kapoor (Avni) in desperation to get hooked with the right guy is under pressure. Swara Bhaskar (Sakshi) played a role of a bold & rich girl who speaks her mind fearlessly & going through a failed marriage, (Shikha Talsania (Meera) A loud character who deals her life away from her father abroad.
With lots of ceremonial drama, show off, as usual treat in our north Indian culture. Movie proceeds further with emotions, fun, fights, comes closer to the progressive approach in the second half.
Girls beautifully presented and performed flawlessly specially Swara & Shikha both in their characters hold audiences particularly young generation girls with some dialogues & jovial moments & not to forget a lot of male bashing done by these stilettos too.
Story writer and director Shashanka ghosh could have defined characters with more strong content & convincing screenplay which definitely would have added more audiens to the cinemas.
Music as usual is not a memorable one which could be used in weddings as it use to be in hindi cinema earlier, Only “tareefan” song by Badshah is quite good.
With many flaws, abusages, orgasm talks, sexual proverbs veere is not a repetitively watched film.
After first weekend box office collections of VDW would start declining.
