BSF recovers packet of heroin in Gurdaspur

Gurdaspur (Punjab), May 10, 2024: The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a packet of suspected heroin of gross weight, more than 500 gms, in Punjab's Gurdaspur district, officials said on Friday.
As per the information, a farmer found a yellow packet in his fields. After this, he informed about it to 27 Battalion of BSF. BSF officers and jawans reached the spot and the packet of heroin was taken into their possession. Regarding the recovery, the SHO of Kalnaur police station was notified.
IPS Dilpreet Singh, SHO of Kalanaur police station, said that it is estimated that it was dropped here by a Pakistani drone some days ago because it looks old and there is also a wire attached to it.
