Fatehgarh Sahib. April.19, 2020: The State unit of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association in a representation to SSP Fatehgarh Sahib and copies forwarded to DGP and CM Punjab has urged to cancel the FIR registered u/s 188 IPC against their executive member Dr. Deepak Jot owner of Deepak Scanner and diagnosis Sirhind and two of his employees, so that the medical fraternity which is already leading a miserable life does not feel harassed and can continue its fight against deadly disease.
Dr. Gurdeep Singh and Dr. Mukesh Gupta State President and Secretary respectively has mentioned that in persuasion of the orders of CM Punjab to provide health services at this critical hour of COVID-19 threat, doctors have decided to open their clinics and they very well know the precautions to protect public, himself and his staff inside their clinics. They stated that he opened the clinic as a child has developed head injury and pregnant lady need immediate scan and hardly there were three persons in clinic and they have attached video of the time when police came to clinic.
Meanwhile District President of IMA Dr. Amanpreet Singh stated that the doctors can ensure social distancing within the premises not on outside the premises. He said in such circumstances no private hospital or doctor will be able to work. He warned that if FIR is not withdrawn the issue will taken by State IMA.
