Ludhiana, April 21, 2020: Punjab Police Sub-Inspector Arshpreet Kaur Grewal, who is hospitalised after testing positive for coronavirus, shared an uplifting video message on Facebook on Monday.
In the video, Grewal, who is SHO, Basti Jodhewal, Commissionerate, Ludhiana, says she tested positive for coronavirus on April 17 and has been hospitalised in DMC, Ludhiana.

She thanked Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, DGP Dinkar Gupta, Police commissioner Ludhiana Rakesh Agrawal and senior officers for their help and moral support in this hour of need and for motivating her to fight the dreaded disease and emerge stronger.
Gupta praised Arshpreet for her maturity, tweeting:
“I would also like to thank all my relatives, friends and everyone who is messaging me and talking to me. I want to inform them that I am all right and doing well and I will soon join duty,” she said.
Grewal also had a message for all police officers and personnel deployed on the frontline to battle this dreaded disease.
“Stay strong and we will definitely win this fight against covid-19. Take all precautions while on duty, wash your hands frequently, wear masks and use santizers. Eat a healthy nutritious diet, don’t skip meals and take proper rest. This will allow you to do your duty in an effective way,” she said.
For the general public she had the following message: “Please stay home, stay safe as lives are very precious. The police as well as the civil department are making all efforts to look after you so please stay home.”
She also wished a speedy recovery to her driver and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Anil Kumar Kohli’s driver, both of who whom are also coronavirus positive and hospitalised.
ACP Kohli, sadly, passed away a day after he tested positive on April 17.

Paying tributes to Kohli, Grewal said, “I don’t have words to express my grief. I learned a lot from him. All I can say is may his soul rest in peace and God give his family strength to bear the loss. His sacrifice will always be remembered.”
