Bihari residents struck during lockdown could apply online for financial assistance
Ferozepur, April 24, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Kulwant Singh today said that labourers or needy residents of Bihari origin stranded in Ferozepur could get financial assistance by applying on www.aapda.bih.nic.in.
In a statement issued here today, DC said that for needy people of Bihari origin stranded in other states during the lockdown, the Government of Bihar has decided to transfer funds from the Chief Minister Relief Fund at the rate of Rs.1000 / - per family. He said that this amount would be transferred to the bank account of the labourers and needy persons residing in other states stranded due to lockdown. Kulwant Singh said that the necessary link has been provided on www.aapda.bih.nic.in through which the beneficiaries would be able to register themselves.
DC categorically said that this scheme was only for those who were residents of Bihar and were stranded in other states due to the lockdown announced due to corona virus. He said that for registration copy of Aadhar card of the beneficiary and bank account in the name of the beneficiary which was in the branch of a bank located in the state of Bihar was must. The deputy Commissioner said that the photo (selfie) of the beneficiary would be matched to the photo in the Aadhaar database so photo must be clear. He said that there would be only one registration linked to one Aadhaar number, OTP received on the mobile number has to be used on the mobile app adding that the assistance related to this would be sent to the bank account only.
He said that for more information the helpline numbers at Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi were 011-23792009, 23014326 and 23013884 could be contacted. He said that the numbers of Patna control room were 0612-2294204 and 2294205.
Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh Govt has started a scheme for migrant population stranded in other states for transferring Rs.1000 into the accounts of each person.
The government called upon its stranded population that a message may kindly be the communicated to them that in the phone number 0755-2411180 to initiate the process of transferring the aid.
