S. A. S. Nagar, April 25, 2020: In order to ensure prompt medical assistance to the people in the wake of curfew imposed owing to corona virus, the ambulances of the private sector need to be requisitioned. The District Magistrate , Girish Dayalan issued an order fixing the rates at which these ambulances can be requisitioned.
The rate of BLS ambulance (up-to 2000 cc) has been fixed at Rs. 2500 per day for 24 hours while the per kilometer rate would be Rs. 10. The BLS ambulance ( 2000 cc and above) can be requisitioned at Rs. 3000 per day with Rs. 12 being the per kilometer rate. Similarly, the rate of ACLS ambulance has been fixed at Rs. 4500 per day for 24 hours while the per kilometer rate would be Rs. 15.
The fare of the vehicle would be paid by the person hiring the vehicle from the spot of hiring till the dropping point. The driver/union/company would be responsible for dropping the patient at the decided spot.
