Chandigarh, April 26, 2020: Government of Punjab has so far taken no action on Centre’s decision to allow shops to be opened at selected places with certain conditions.
Punjab has said that curfew will not be relaxed immediately and shops will not be allowed to open at least till April 30.
Chief Minister's Media Adviser Ravin Thukral told Babushahi Network that a meeting of the Punjab Cabinet has been convened on April 30 to discuss issues including the Centre's directive to open shops.
He also said that before that the Chief Minister would have a video conference with the MLAs of Punjab on April 29.
According to Ravin Thukral, the expert committee which has been entrusted the task of deciding when to lift curfew has shared the draft report with the Chief Minister. The committee will finalize its report in the next three days after which a decision will be taken.
