9th Shramik Express Train moves from Ferozepur for Bareilly
Ferozepur, May 20, 2020: Today, 9th Shramik Express Train from Ferozepur left for Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh with 560 passengers from Ferozepur Cantt railway station.
The migrants are being shifted from Punjab state to their home district in other states due to curfew-lockdown extended up to May 31 in view of non-availability of work due to shut down of various establishments in the wake of the threat of coronavirus.
Earlier, 8 trains have moved from Ferozepur ferrying migrant workers from Malwal and Majha districts. The cost of Rs.4.74 lakh for tickets on this account has been borne by the state government.
