Fatehgarh Sahib. May.21, 2020: The members of the self Help Groups of Rural Self Employment Training Institute ( RSETI) funded by State Bank Of India and Punjab and Sindh Bank today submitted fifteen thousand quality cotton mask prepared by the workers of Self Help groups to the Deputy Commissioner in her office today.
Appreciating the efforts of the RSETI, DC said that in the hour of crisis during pandemic every one contributed especially the front line COVID warrior, that’s why the district succeeded in not only controlling the COVID but almost eliminating it from the district. She said these best quality cotton masks will be beneficial in summer as these can be used by washing again and again. She said that these masks will be distributed among the needy and front line COVID warriors in the district. She said due to efforts of all the district administration has succeeded in controlling COVID in district as no new case has been reported from last one week and moreover only two positive cases are there in district as 54 of 56 have been cured and discharged. She urged the people to follow the instructions.
Jaswant Singh Manager Lead Bank said that the masks prepared by the Self Help groups will not only benefit the people but also become a source of income for groups.
Jaspreet Singh IAS Additional Deputy Commissioner (G), Pavitar Singh SDM Bassi Pathana, Vinod Arora Regional Manager SBI, Jatinder Kumar Deputy General Manager Punjab and Sind Bank, Harish Wadhawan Assistant General Manager SBI and AC Sharma Director RSETI were also present.
