Flights operations resumed, Chandigarh airport fully equipped with protection measures
Chandigarh, May 27, 2020 : Chandigarh International Airport has resumed flight operations From 25th May, 2020 after a long lockdown. The airport has so far handled a total number of 28 flights. 14 flights on 25th May with 677 number of passengers and 14 flights with 672 number of passengers on 26th of May. The Passengers expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements made by the Chandigarh International Airport to put a stop on spread of Coronavirus infection.
The passengers have accepted the new norms as set by the Government and the pandemic has changed the flying experience completely. However, the passenger felt "safe" while travelling in the protection gears. CHIAL authority has endeavoured to take all precautionary measures to make sure that there is a no physical interaction between passengers, airport staff and others. The airport is fully equipped with physical distancing marks, thermal scanners and hand sanitizers placed at different locations inside and outside the airport. Frequent sanitisation work is also undertaken by airport authority.
