Fake news viral on social media about death of Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s Sister, researcher sets facts right
Chandigarh, May 31, 2020 : A fake news about death of Parkash Kaur ,sister of Shaheed Bhagat Singh went viral on social media yesterday. In these viral posts it was claimed that Prakash Kaur sister of Shahhed Bhagat Singh expired yesterday in California.
Babushahi Network , after fact check, found it be a purely fake news .
Eminent Writer, intellectual and researcher on life of Bhagat Singh, Prof. Chaman Lal expressed pain and anguish over this fake news as she had expired in 2014 in Canada.
Taliking to Babushahi.com he told that Bhagat Singh’s sister Prakash Kaur had died on 28th September 2014, on 107th birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh at the age of 93 years, yet since yesterday, social media crazy warriors including people like Kumar Vishwas are making Prakash Kaur death yesterday@96 years of age.
Prof Chaman Lal said that most unfortunate was that thousands of people were joining this craze to pay tributes, without even bothering to check any authentic source of news. He said that even one fellow has tagged him on his ( Chaman Lal 's ) page with my 2011 photograph with Bibi Prakash Kaur at her son house in Toronto, mentioning my own post then that she died on 107 th birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh, meaning 28th September 2014, more than six years ago, yet no one is interested in facts.
He opined that these are real dangers of social media turning people into not only idiots, but blind mindless creatures!
