Doctor turned civil servant, Dr. Vinay Bansal, has written a book to manage stress during ongoing Covid-19 days. The author is an MBBS graduate from GMC, Patiala and has an experience of working as a PCMS Medical Officer for 4 years. He is presently working as Sub-Registrar, Bathinda after joining PCS-Allied services.
Title of the book is '2020 - Life in the eye of a storm'. As the eye of a storm remains calm amidst the outer chaos, this book comes with a similar objective - to provide the readers with the right mindset and techniques to pass this storm with calmness and patience.
As most of the news these days are about the pain and the suffering, this book is meant to serve as a diversion. This book isn't meant to give facts that can be found everywhere but about attaining calmness in these restless times.
This book talks about the actual purpose of life, recommended lifestyle modifications and finally teaches you a simple technique of meditation.
Revenue Association president and the author presented this book to Revenue Minister, Punjab on Sunday. Revenue minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar said that he feels proud to lead revenue department. All the revenue officers are doing their best possible efforts for controlling Covid-19 ill effects. Revenue officers are involved in distribution of ration, shifting of migrants, cremation of deceased and now playing role with their pen to spread positivity.
Revenue Association president Gurdev Dhamm said that under the guidance of Revenue Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar and Financial Commissioner Revenue, KBS Sidhu, all revenue officers are always motivated and ready to do any work assigned to them.
