Under Mission Fateh, DC Ferozepur honours RSSB’s sewaks as Corona Warrior
Ferozepur, June 2, 2020: Under Mission Fateh, Deputy Commissioner, Kulwant Singh today honoured Radha Soami Satsang Beas by handing over appreciation letter for Corona Warrior in performing an important role in the fight against coronavirus.
DC said, Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh has launched a month-long Covid-19 awareness campaign under ‘Mission Fateh’. Under this mission, an awareness will be created among the people to follow the instruction from the government like following the social distancing, wash hands, and wear a mask to win the battle against the pandemic. Apart from this, the individuals, institutions who have played a pivotal role in the battle against the coronavirus and corona victims who had gone back to their homes, will also be honoured.
He said, in this context, on Tuesday, the representatives of RSSB were honoured who had great contribution and worked day and night during the last two months in this war against corona adding that this institution had served food to 10 lakh people, including 4 lakh in the city itself and migrant labourers from other states, during two months with participation of at least 500 sewaks at 4 Satsang houses – Betu Qadim, Ferozeur-Zira Road,Lakhmirpura, and Talwandi Bhai.
The institution deserves all outstanding appreciation for looking after the migrant workers stayed with them, more comfortably, apart from handing over the hygienic food packets to them before boarding the trains to join their families in other states.
