Jalandhar, June 06, 2020: Under the ‘Mission Fateh’ program launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday, 98 teams of the Health department today screened 22709 persons during the door-to-door survey of 5090 houses.
Divulging the details, the Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinder Chawla and Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Dr. Harinder Singh said that this survey was being done continuously to check the spread of the Corona Virus in the district. They said that the Health teams aggressively visited the houses and conducted the medical screening of the people. They said that no stone was being left unturned for making Jalandhar a Corona free district.
The Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that till now around 9270 persons were home quarantined by the Health authorities for being in contact with the Corona positive persons. They said that out of these 8619 people have successfully completed their Home quarantine period of 14 days. Both the officers said that still quarantine period of another 651 persons were active.
The Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that in order aggressively to trace the Covid 19 patients in the district, the Jalandhar administration has so far conducted 9922 Throat Swab Test of the suspected patients in the district. They said that samples of 8827 persons have been found negative whereas 630 were still pending. They said that the Health department was making strenuous efforts to check the pandemic in the district and no stone would be left unturned for this noble cause.
