Jalandhar, June 16, 2020: As a part of the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s ‘Mission Fateh’, hundreds of Anganwandi Workers today organized massive sensitization campaign to make the people aware of precautions to be taken for checking the spread of Covid 19 pandemic.
Divulging the details, the District Program Officer . Amarjeet Singh Bhullar today said that sensitization activities were held by Anganwadi workers across all the 500 centres under ‘Mission Fateh’in Adampur, Bhogpur, Jalandhar-East, Jalandhar-West, Lohian, Mehatpur, Nakodar, Nurmahal, Phillaur, Rurka-Kalan and Shahkot block. He said that during the campaign door to door visits was conducted by Anganwadi workers to sensitize the people regarding Covid 19 pandemic. Mr. Bhullar said that poster making drive was also conducted by these workers with thrust on creating awareness amongst the people about this pandemic.
The District Program Officer said that during door to door campaign by the workers the people were distributed free masks and were apprised of the hand washing practices and hygiene. He said that workers apprised people that 'Mission Fateh', which was the brainchild of the Chief Minister, would emerge as a symbol of firm resolve of the people of Punjab to check the spread of novel coronavirus through discipline, cooperation and compassion. Mr. Bhullar said that it was also emphasized that the Chief Minister has through this mission stressed on the need for adherence to all safety protocols, cooperation with the state government through compliance with the lockdown restrictions and compassion towards the poor.
District Program Officer also said that the workers disseminated the message that 'Mission Fateh' was a true reflection of the Punjabi spirit to overcome all odds for emerging victorious even in hostile circumstances.
