Jalandhar, June 18, 2020: The Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Thursday exhorted the citizens to become ‘Mission Fateh Warriors’ for winning the war against Covid-19 pandemic by adopting and creating awareness of medical protocols including social distancing, masking and washing hands.
Divulging more information, Thori said that for becoming Mission Fateh warriors, the citizen must download Cova app on their phones and then join the 'Mission Fateh' by pressing its link followed by registration on the app. The Deputy Commissioner told that those registering on the app would earn points daily for following precautions, including wearing a mask, washing hands, maintaining a safe distance, etc. He said that points could also be earned for referrals if they download the app or register for the contest.
He said that those following the norms diligently every day for four weeks will be eligible for a bronze certificate and a T-shirt.
Besides, the people adhering to protocols, such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing through the week and month respectively, will be given T-shirts along with silver and gold certificates, he added.
Thori stated that all the certificates will bear Punjab Chief Minister's signature.
Thori said the ‘Mission Fateh’ flagship program of the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has been initiated as a symbol of firm resolve of the people of Punjab to check the spread of novel coronavirus through discipline, cooperation and compassion.
He told it was also emphasized that the Chief Minister through this mission stressed on the need for adherence to all safety protocols, cooperation with the state government through compliance with the lockdown restrictions and compassion towards the poor.
The Deputy Commissioner said that 'Mission Fateh' was a true reflection of the Punjabi spirit to overcome all odds for emerging victorious even in hostile circumstances.
