Need to popularize campaign at grassroots level for tangible results: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Kamal Garg
Flags off 5 vehicles
S. A. S. Nagar, June 20, 2020: "There is a need to popularize the Mission Fateh campaign at the grassroots level for getting tangible results." This was disclosed here today by the Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Kamal Garg on the occasion of flagging off 5 publicity vehicles for carrying out the campaign in Mohali.
It is a month long campaign whose first phase was started on the 14th of June with flagged off 25 vehicles. This phase focused primarily on carrying out the outdoor publicity through display of hoardings, making IVR calls , SMS and the Public Address Systems.
Now, in the second phase, the focus is mainly centred on generating awareness at the grassroots level. The Guardians of Governance (GoGs) are playing a very significant role in this by exhorting people in especially the rural areas to maintain social distancing, wearing of masks whenever going out, washing of hands with sanitizers and soaps for 20 seconds and inspiring people to be connected with the campaign and become Mission Fateh Warriors. Besides, the Youth Services Department is also rendering valuable services by involving children in the campaign via various initiatives in cities, and towns. The NCC cadets are also doing their precious bit to contribute towards the popularization of the campaign down to the every section of the society.
Not only this, but the Anganwadi Workers and the ASHA workers in league with the various NGOs are also leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the success of the campaign by going door to door and distributing pamphlets and explaining the importance of following the protocols laid down by the Health Department to effectively combat corona virus pandemic. All the departments especially the frontline ones such as the Health, Police are deeply engaged in making sure that the ‘Mission Fateh’ campaign echoes not only at National but International level also because the corona virus pandemic is a cause of concern for the whole world.
