Under Mission Fateh, 5 Punjab Home Guards ‘Corona Warriors’ honoured with DGP’s Commendation Disc
Ferozepur, 23 June 2020 : Under Mission Fateh, Punjab Guard’s Corona Warrior working as a front liner during the corona pandemic and performing duies diligently with the synergy of civil administration and police in the battle against Covid-19 were honoured with Commendation Disc from Punjab Home Guards, by Charanjit Singh Divisional Commandant, Punjab Home Guards, at Civil Defense Complex, Ferozepur.
DGP's Commendation Disc was conferred upon Nirmal Singh, Platoon Commander Faridkot, Gursewak Singh Platoon Commander Mansa, Krishan Kumar Anskali, Platoon Commander Ferozepur, Gurmeet Singh Anskali Platoon Commander Bathinda and Guard Charanjit Singh Mansa.
Divisional Commandant said the State Government has started the scheme of ‘Home Guards Commendation Disc’ to recognize the contribution of Punjab Home Guards Personnel including permanent employees and volunteers in COVID-19 related duties.
He said that these employees have performed their duty on the front line with utmost honesty and diligence during the Corona epidemic. He said that while everyone had to stay in their homes during the coronavirus virus, these veterans have been continuously on the frontline duty.
Present among others on this occasion were Anil Kumar, Bn Commander, Rajinder Kirhsan, District Commander, Wakil Singh, Deputy Bn Commander and Kamalpreet Singh Dhillon District Commander Bathinda was present.
