Three Days lock down announced in Amloh sub Division.

Fatehgarh Sahib, June 29, 2020: The residents of Bassi Pathana and Sirhind town heaved a sigh of relief as more than 20 close contacts of the head of Jai Maa Mission Swami Jyoti Maa Mahadev, who died due to COVID were tested negative including Gora Lal Jhanjhi President of the trust and his wife, whereas the reports of his driver is yet to come. Swami Jyoti Maa Mahadev was living at Usha Mata Temple head quarter of Jai Maa Mission at Bassi Pathana town and large number of his disciples used to visit him daily. He was tested positive and admitted in Apollo hospital Ludhiana and died there. After his death controversy had erupted over the immersion of his ashes and the SDM Bassi Pathana Jaspreet Singh had sealed the Temple and taken his ashes into possession and placed them in the Mandir. All his disciples, Sadhvis, a media person and the members of the management had been quarantined and now their reports have come negative.
Three new positive cases have surfaced in the district a 23 year old pregnant lady from Amloh, a 28 year old resident of village Pola and 44 year old of village Jakhwali were tested positive taking the tally of positive cases to 110 in the district. Out of these 85 have cured and 25 are active.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Amrit Kaur Gill has imposed three day lock down in Amloh sub division of the district as the COVID is spreading fastly in Amloh and Mandi Gobindgarh industrial town of the State. She has ordered that all the shops and industry will remain close till Tuesday in the sub division.
