Three farm ordinances are farmer-friendly, says Rakesh Rathore
No harm in introducing privatization, if better services are provided: Rathore
Ferozepur, July 3, 2020: Rakesh Rathore, State Vice President, Bhartiya Janata Party, Punjab, who was here today, highlighting the achievements of Modi government, said, there is no harm in introducing privatization if better services are provided to the people.
Addressing the media persons by holding a press conference, Rathore said, the three Ordinances by the Union government relating to agriculture, are farmer-friendly. The Minimum Support Price factor will continue in all circumstances and the existing mandi system will also carry on as it is. Aam Admi Party – AAP and Congress are wrongly propagating on these issues to misguide the farmers.
The Ordinances have number provisions favourable to farmers like farmers can sell their products anywhere in the country, stock holding limit has also been lifted, there is nowhere mention of abolition of MSP. Even e-marketing has been allowed, said Rathore.
He, however, made it clear that stocking limits can be reconsidered only in the event of any emergent situation and disaster like situation.
Raising the voice against the Ordinances is a political vendetta when all the same are in favour of farmers as Modi government is fully aware of the problems of the farmers, said Rathore.
In reply to the question of privatization of certain services in the country including the Railways, Rathore said, there is no harm if better services are provided at the user ends.
