...Both Captain, Modi governments protecting Badals through SITs, CBI
...CBI’s move: an attempt to derail probe by the SIT under Kunwar Vijay Pratap: AAP
Chandigarh, July 09, 2020: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state President and Member of Parliament (MP) Bhagwant Mann has levelled serious allegations against the Narendra Modi at the Centre and Captain Amarinder Singh Government in Punjab for protecting the Badals in the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari and firing incidents at Behbal Kalan-Kotkapura.
In a statement issued from party headquarters here in Chandigarh on Thursday, Bhagwant Mann strongly objected to the CBI's moving an application in a Mohali court to stay the probe into the Behbal Kalan firing incident, alleging it was a well thought-out design of the Modi government to protect the Badals.
Bhagwant Mann alleged that the Modi government, in connivance with the Badals, through the CBI and the Captain government in Punjab through the SIT headed by Ranbir Singh Khatra, were trying to derail the SIT headed Kunwar Vijay Pratap, which was investigating the incident with all seriousness it merited. Describing the CBI's move as unwarranted, Mann said that when Punjab Assembly had already withdrawn the case from the CBI and the CBI itself had filed a closure report, why was it now intervening in the matter to delay the process of justice delivery?
The AAP MP also questioned the revival of the SIT headed by Ranbir Singh Khatra, which was constituted by the Badals (alleged ‘culprits’ in the incidents) during their tenure in office. Mann expressed his hunch over the delivery of justice, saying where Ranbir Singh Khatra's son Satveer Singh Khatra was the Akali Dal (Badal) candidate from Patiala (rural) assembly constituency and their mutual proximity, how could one look up for justice in sensitive cases that took place at Bargari and Behbal Kalan?
Mann said that even as both the Capt. Amarinder Singh government and the Narendra Modi government had been going the whole hog protecting the Badals, they (The Badals) were the real ‘culprits’ in the peoples’ court, saying that whosoever would try to save the Badals would be get punished in the peoples’ court, the way the Badals were punished by the people in the 2017 elections.
Mann said that the entire Nanak Naam Leva Sangat all over the world wanted the real ‘culprits’ punished for being disrespectful to Guru Granth Sahib and the firing incidents at Behbal Kalan-Kotkapura where two youths were killed and many others were grievously injured, no matter how powerful or influential they might be.
