In Ferozepur, 745 Asha Workers complete door-to-door screening of 2,57,600 people
Ferozepur, July 10, 2020: Under the Mission Fateh launched by the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, a door to door survey campaign was launched by the Health Department for screening the people of the district in which 257600 people have been screened so far.
Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Gurpal Singh Chahal said that health survey has been started for all the people of the district and the teams of the health department were visiting all the houses and screening the people.
DC said that a large number of health workers were working to cover the entire district in this campaign. He said that 745 Asha workers and health department employees in the district have been successfully involved in this campaign. Apart from health check-ups, people were also being sensitized to follow government guidelines such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently, maintaining social distance and downloading the Cova app to make the mission a popular movement.
DC said that only with public awareness, the disease can be prevented from spreading further.
He said that thousands of people have been tested for coronavirus in the district and strict steps are being taken by the health department to check its further spread.
