Switch over to paddling to keep fit or fight against Corona: Kanav and Ashu
Kanav, 9-year-old covers 613 km cycling in a month under Mission Fateh
Ferozepur, July 31, 2020: When the whole of the world is fighting against the Coronavirus and in this war, doctors, police officials, safai karamcharis, social activists and employees of various departments are working as frontline workers, a nine-year-old, 3rd Class student Kanav Narula of Ferozepur has set an example by paddling 613 km in a month, under the Mission Fateh, to create awareness among the people of the area.
Kanav is now talk of the town and an example for young and old to switch over to cycle to maintain physically and mentally fit especially to prepare themselves for any challenge to fight against the virus.
Kanav showed his passion for paddling, on watching the regular cyclists in the city on one day and took the challenge of 500 km in a month, starting with 15 km on the very first day. He has created awareness among the people of the area to increase physical strength by cycling.
Kanav’s father Ashu Narula of Ashu Photostat also joined him in this mission, by paddling after a long time and cycled 613 km to raise the fight against Corona. His mother a teacher by profession is also on the duty of putting wiser the people in the rural areas in a door-to-door campaign. On asking about the Mission Fateh from his mother one day, created his interest also to do awareness by paddling in the morning on the different routes including the visit to the Hussainiwala Martyrs' Memorial near the Indo-Pak border 13 km from his residence.
When contacted Kanav and his father, both were in high spirits and said, we feel fresh and active throughout the day after paddling in the morning. We hope to continue this feature in the future also. We also appeal to all to join the paddling in the morning to keep themselves fit for fight against Corona and prepare for a happy old age life.
