Jalandhar: 137 more private hospitals to be roped in for Covid patients
DC constitutes committees to take stock of bed capacity & infrastructure in private hospitals
Jalandhar, August 3, 2020: Amid a spike in COVID-19 cases in Jalandhar, the district administration is all set to rope in 137 more private health institutions to set aside more beds besides ensuring best possible care to the level-2 and level-3 Covid infected patients under Covid management policy.
The Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Monday constituted various committees headed by SDMs and DDLG, which would carry out the inspections of these private hospitals falling in their respective jurisdictions and submit a comprehensive report of bed capacity and medical infrastructure which could be further utilised for level-2 and level-3 Covid patients.
As per orders of the DC, SDM Nakodar along with his team of officials will check ANR Neuro Hospital, Aarti Fertility Centre, Aastha Neuro Centre, Aekam Hospital, Akal Eye Hospital, Altis hospital, Arman Hospital, Arman ENT hospital, Amarjeet Scanning and Diagnostic Centre, Anand Surgical Hospital, Anand ENT hospital and Nursing Home, Ankur Hosptial, Apex Hospital, Arora Eye Hospital, Ashirward Hospital, Ashoke Neuro Hospital, AVM Laser Care, Bal Hospital, Baggha Hospital, Bath Hospital, Baweja Hospital, Baweja Medical Hospital, BBC heart Care, Berry Hospital, Bhargav Advanced Gyne Surgery Cancer Centre, Bhutani Children Hospital, Bowry Hospital, Cardinova Hospital, Central Hospital and Chawla Hospital.
Likewise, SDM Phillaur along with his team will conduct inspection in Chawla Nursing Home and Maternity Hospital, Chabbra Maternity and Skin Hospital, Chitra Hospital, Chodha Hospital, City Hospital, Cosmos Hospital, DMC Hospital, Dr Ravi Paul Children hospital, Dada Hospital, Dang Hospital, Dhingra Hospital, Doaba Hospital, Duggal Eye Hospital, Ganga Ortho Care Hospital, Genesis Fertility and Surgical Centre, Ghai Hospital, Goel Kidney Clinic, Gardian Hospital, Golden Hospital, Goodwill Hospital, Guru Nanak Medical Centre, HP Hospital, Handa Neuro Hospital, Healing Touch Hospital, Holy Family Hospital, Jalandhar Nursing Home, Jammu Hospital, Jaswinder Pal Hospital, Jaswant Hospital and Kahlon Hospital.
Similarly, a team led by SDM Shahkot will visit KM Hospital, Kamal Hospital (Kishanpura), Kamal Hospital Nakodar, Kapil Hospital, Kapoor Bone and Children Hospital, Karan Hospital, Kataria Eye and ENT hospital, KGM Hospital, Khosla hospital, Kuldeep Hospital, Kumar Hospital, Lajwanti Hospital, Lall's Orthocare Centre, Lotus Plastic Surgery Centre, MK Arora Hospital, MM Hospital, Mahajan Hospital, Mahajan Eye Hospital, Makkar Hospital, Malhotra Children and General Hospital, Malhotra Hospital, Malhotra Nursing Home, Mann Maternity Hospital, Mann Medicity, Mann Scanning Centre, Mannat Hospital, Markanda Hospital, Mayo Clinic and Metro Hospital.
The team headed by Deputy Director Local Government (DDLG) will work out for increasing bed capacity by visiting Modern Hosptial, New Life Hospital, New Ruby Hospital, Nipunanda Hospital, Oberoi Ortho and Gynee Hosptial, Pal Hospital, Panacea Women and Heart Care Centre, Pasricha Hospital, Pawan Hospital and Maternity Home, Pearl Hospital, PMG Children Hospital, Prakriti Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, Raj Kamal Hospital, Rana Hospital, Randhawa Children Hospital, Ranjit Hospital, Ryan Hospital, Schhar Hospital, Saini Neuro-Psychiatry hospital, Sanjivani Hospital, Sareen Hospital, Sartaj Hospital, Savitri Hospital and Maternity Home and Shakuntala Devi Vig Hospital.
Apart from this, Assistant Commissioner State Tax Jalandhar-2 will give a report about Sharanjeet Hospital, Sharma Eye Hospital and Maternity Home, Sigma Hospital, Sikka Hospital, Spine and Ortho Care Ghumman Hospital, Suman Medical Centre and Hospital, Surrise Ohri Hospital, Talwar Hospital, Thind Eye Hospital, Vardaan Hospital, Vedanta Hospital, Verma Hospital, Vikram Hospital, Virk Infertility Hospital, Innocent Hearts Hospital, Miglani Hospital, Trinity Hospital, Atul Mahajan Children Hospital, Adarsh Hospital, Julka Eye Clinic, Star Super speciality and Swastik Medical Centre.
TDC Ghanshyam Thori said that SDM-1 and SDM-2 were already in-touch with 26 major private hospitals of the district who have joined hands with the administration in this fight.
He said that at the time when the world is experiencing an unprecedented crisis due to Covid-19 pandemic, private hospitals must work in tandem with the government in this battle. He said that private hospitals would charge on the maximum rates as fixed by the Punjab Government for the treatment.
However, he asked the people to come forward for the testing so that the timely detection and treatment could be ensured to arrest the spread of contagion.
