Centre to help deal surge in COVID cases effectively: MLA Parminder Singh Pinki
Ferozepur, August 27- MLA Ferozepur Parminder Singh Pinki today said that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has written a letter to Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan for executing the construction work of PGI Satellite Centre in Ferozepur expeditiously to benefit the people of border areas.
Pinki, who has been constantly following up the issue of starting PGI satellite centre in the border district, said that the construction work must be started there as the Ferozepur administration had also handed over possession of 27-acre land in Malwal Qadim village to the PGI authorities. He said that the union government had also sanctioned Rs 490 crore for the construction for the 100-bed centre.
He said that the satellite Centre would help to deal the surge in COVID cases in the district efficaciously besides this centre will give a major fillip to the healthcare requirements of the people who have to visit other districts for treatments.
