SGPC appoints Jagdeep Singh Cheema as honorary Secretary of Autonomous Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib.

SGPC President Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal has appointed Jagdeep Singh Cheema former information commissioner cum Vice President of SAD (B) as Honorary Secretary of the Governing Council of the Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib the first autonomous college in North India. He took the charge during a simple ceremony today.
Addressing the media Jagdeep Singh Cheema, newly appointed Honorary Secretary thanked Gobind Singh Longowal, President SGPC and Sukhbir Singh Badal, President SAD (B). He said that Mata Gujri College, a leading institution and he will strive hard to take the college to new heights with the help of the
staff of the college.
Dr. Kashmir Singh, Principal of the College said that Cheema family has been instrumental in the development of the college even his father Randhir Singh Cheema, former Minister had served as the Secretary of the College from (1965 to 1980).
It is worth mentioning that Jagdeep Singh Cheema replaced Ranjit Singh Libra senior SAD (B) leader of the area as his son Ajay Libra President of Youth Akali Dal Malwa Zone resigned from SAD (B) and joined AAP.
