Punjab, UT Employees and Pensioners Joint Front support farmer’s protest
Ferozepur September 25, 2020: Punjab-UT Employees and Pensioners Joint Front Punjab today started a hunger strike on the 10th day in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur under the chairmanship of Kishan Chand Jagowalia President PSF.
On this occasion, for the eighth day in a row, 11 comrades - including Gurmej Singh, Raj Kumar and Parkash Chand, Water Resources Department, Kulwant Singh and Gian Singh, Forest Department, Shingara Singh, Mehar Singh, Rajpal Singh, Vice President Pensioners Association, Balvir Singh and Raja Ram Food Supply Department and Balkar Singh PWD Pensioners Union – sat on hunger strike.
Manohar Lal President PSMSU, Kishan Chand Jagowalia President PSF, Ram Prasad President Class Fourth Union, Wilson President DC Office Class Four Union, Raghbir Singh President Education Department, Mr. Harbhajan Kamboj were present on the occasion.
Ajit Singh Sodhi General Secretary Pensioners Union, Raj Kumar Vice President Class Four Union, Malkit Chand Pasi, Jagtar Singh, Charanjit Singh General Secretary Food Supply Department and Balwant Singh Sandhu, Puneet Mehta and Narinder Sharma Health Department said, by enforcing black law for the farmers, the BJP has made life difficult for every section of the society x and we stand by the farmers in every possible way.
Later, the joint front employees supported the farmers' organizations and a protest rally was taken out from the DC office to Chungi No. 7 and cursed over the attitude of the government.
The said that the government should stop making bad decisions and focus on development, employees and the working class so that they may not move to the agitation path.
Adding the President shared the main demands which are -
Asha Workers Mid Day Meal and Anganwadi Workers Minimum Wage Act should be implemented and a salary of Rs. 18000 should be fixed.
Proposals for retrenchment of employees in various institutions in the name of restructuring should be stopped.
Withdraw the notification of giving equal pay scale to the Center at the time of recruitment of employees.
Withdraw the letter of deduction in mobile allowance.
The report of the pay commission, which has been pending for three years, should be implemented immediately.
All types of temporary employees should be regularized.
The old pension policy should be implemented.
Immediate release of five outstanding installments of DA.
The pending for 133 months should be released immediately.
Rs.2400 per annum tax should be withdrawn.
The powers of pension revision should be given at DDO level.
Gratuity limit should be increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
The pensioners of Punjab State Electricity Board should be provided free electricity like the employees.
The pending cases of the pensioners of 1/12/2011 at the office of the Accountant General of Punjab should be disposed of immediately.
