Sri Muktsar Sahib, September 30, 2020: Four members of a gang involved in the murder and looting of a relative of cricketer Suresh Raina in Pathankot district have been arrested by the police from Gidderbaha constituency of this district.
According to information received, police also recovered a 12-bore gun and sharp-edged weapons from the accused.

Disclosing this here today, the police said that the accused residents of UP and Bihar and were living in slums set up in vacant plots so that no one could suspect them.
Police says they expect to uncover the gangs involvement in other major incidents.

The arrested are: Kazam alias Rinda son of Raisuddin of Talapara district Saharanpur, Chahat alias Jan son of Johar of Makharpur district Kanpur, Rahul son Raju of Makharpur district Kanpur and Tavijal wife Sajan alias Ranjita is a resident of Talapara district Saharanpur.
Police said they had carried out a similar incident on the night of February 25-26 at Husnar village.
It may be recalled that close relatives of Raina, residing in Tharial village in Sujanpur constituency in Pathankot, were attacked at night inside their house by robbers on August 20.
Five family members were injured while Raina's brother-in-law was killed.
