Farmers laud CM Capt Amarinder Singh for passing four bills to negate centre’s three farm laws
They Call CM 'Saviour of Peasantry'
Jalandhar, October 20- The farmers of the district have welcomed and lauded the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for passing four bills in Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday to counter the three farm laws brought by the union government recently.
They called the Chief Minister a 'Saviour of Peasantry'.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Minister has produced four bills including Farmers Produce Trade & Commerce Promotion & Facilitation (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2020, The Essential Commodities (Special Provision & Punjab Amendment) Bill 2020, The Farmers Agreement on Price Assurance & Farm Services (Punjab Amendment) Bill 2020 and Amendment to the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908" to protect the farmers from Kurki in any recovery proceedings, in assembly today.
Farmer Major Singh of Nahla village who has brought his paddy in New Grain Market, hailed the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for safeguarding the farmers and their children by rejecting Centre's three anti-farmer laws and ensuring punishment of three years for purchasing crops below MSP in a special session of Vidhan Sabha.
Farmer Manpreet Singh of Vidhipur also hailed the Chief Minister as a true protector of the farming community who passed historic four bills in Vidhan Sabha today.
Similarly, Farmer Harbhupinder Singh said the bills brought by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, have ensured the right of MSP to the farmers and punishment up to three years in case the crop is sold below MSP.
Kukar Pind’s young farmer Gopi Singh also called the step taken by Chief Minister a historic which would save the peasantry from hands of the private players and assuring the right of MSP to the farmers.
