Chandigarh University to host Virtual Meet on The Future of Indo-China Relations
Ex-Indian Army Generals, Former Indian Navy Chief, National Security Experts and Officials of Government of Punjab world take part in the virtual meet
Chandigarh, October 21, 2020 : Currently the situation on the India-China border is very tense and the talks between the two countries to restore the Status-Quo has remained inconclusive till date. With a view to understand the current situation and future roadmap, Chandigarh University Gharuan is organizing a virtual meet on “The Future of Indo-China Relations” on October 21, 2020. The Virtual Meet would be attended by former Indian Army General, former Indian Navy Chief, National Security Experts and Senior Administration Officials of Government of Punjab would be interacting with the students.
While giving details about the virtual meet, Dr. Satbir Singh Sehgal, Registrar, Chandigarh University said, “Important dignitaries taking part in the Virtual Meet includes Admiral (Retd) Sunil Lanba, former Indian Navy Chief and Ex-Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Deependra Singh Hooda, Former General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command, Indian Army, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Former General Office Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command, Indian Army, Mr. Bharat Karnad, National Security Expert and Emeritus Professor, Centre for Policy Research and Rahul Bhandari (IAS), Secretary Higher Education, Water Resources, Mines & Geology, Government of Punjab”.
Dr. Sehgal informed that, “Youth has to understand the depth of the strategic issues concerning the nation and the vision behind conducting the virtual meet is to make the younger generation of the country aware and involve them on the strategic & global issues”. Registrar of the University further said, “The Virtual Meet on India-China Relations will be broadcasted live for the public on the official social media channels of Chandigarh University”.
