Industries Ministers meets victim family, Announces to provide a five-Marla plot in village
Says Punjab Government to help family in construction of their own home
Rs. 50,000 FD in name of each five daughters of bereaved parents
TANDA (HOSHIARPUR), OCTOBER 24, 2020: On the directives of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Industries and Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora on Saturday evening visited the Jalalpur village, where he met the victim family of six-year old girl, who was murdered and set on fire a few days back.
Expressing sympathy with the bereaved family on this horrific incident, Sunder Sham Arora reiterated resolve of Punjab Government for exemplary punishment for perpetrators of this heinous crime. The Minister also assured that the Punjab Police has expedited its investigation so that this case could be tried on fast track to ensure justice to victim family at the earliest.
Sunder Sham Arora also announced that Punjab Government would provide a five-marla plot to the family in Panchayati land of the village besides helping the family for construction of their own house as the family had been living in a rented house.
In an humanitarian gesture, Arora also announced to give Rs. 2.5 lakh to family from his own pocket for the fixed deposit in the name of five daughters of the bereaved parents. The Minister said that he would give this amount from his personal funds, which would be deposit in bank in the name of said girls i.e. Rs 50,000 each.
