Postal Deptt starts observing Vigilance Awareness Week
Corruption eradication possible, if all discharge duties honestly - Central Vigilance Commission
Ferozepur, October 27, 2020: The Superintendent of Post Offices Ferozepur inaugurated the start of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2020 from October 27 to November 2 to fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, cause and gravity of and the threat posed by corruption.
All the staff of the Postal Department RMS took a pledge not to engage in corruption and put up a banner on the campus to create awareness among the people against corruption.
Speaking on the occasion, HSA Waryam Singh and SRO Rohit Chawla said that bribery along with other social evils is a scourge which hinders the progress of the country.
They said that in order to eradicate the menace of corruption, it was important for all sections of the society to be aware and every section of society should contribute further to its eradication.
SRO Chawla said that under this series today all the staff of the office has taken a vow neither to take bribe nor to give a bribe and at the same time they have taken an oath to do their job honestly.
The pledge has also been taken online by the office staff through the Central Vigilance Commission's website. It was said that corruption could be eradicated only when all would discharge their responsibilities and inform the concerned department to curb the rampant corruption.
Dushyant Kumar, Zion Singh, Satnam Singh, Balwinder Kaur, Rakesh Verma, Suman, Ashwani, Inderjit Singh, Parampal Singh, Parvinder Singh were present on the occasion.
