Jalandhar, October 28, 2020 - The concerted efforts of Jalandhar Sakhi-one stop centre, has brought cheers on the faces of a Adampur based family with tracing of a 50-year-old distressed woman, who was missing for last seven months, in Gujarat’s Aravalli district.
The Centre has reunited the woman with the family after a team from Gujarat reached here. Divulging details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said on October 11, woman’s family had filed complaint of her missing with Adampur Child Development Project Officer and Jalandhar Sakhi-one stop centre was immediately intimated about the case.
He said that Jalandhar Sakhi One-stop centre was directed to share the information with all centres throughout the country and a team led by DPO Gurminder Randhawa, Centre’s in-charge Sandeep Kaur was set to expedite the tracing and all details including pics of the woman and other details was circulated to all Sakhi-one stop centres in the country.
Thori told following this, Sakhi One-Stop Centre, Aravalli in Gujarat contacted Jalandhar’s Sakhi One-Stop Centre and intimated that centre had a woman who resembles with pic shared by it. He said that then team led by DPO Gurminder Randhawa, Centre’s in-charge Sandeep Kaur called the family in the centre and arranged a video call with authorities of Sakhi One-Stop Centre, Aravalli and woman’s daughters identified their mother.
Deputy Commissioner said that after completing the documental and other formalities, a team of Gujarat including Patel Mitalben Sureshbhai, Hardik Kumar JagdishBhai, Sangita Ben, and MeghrajBhai Manat, arrived in the city and the woman was handed over to the family. He also lauded the efforts of CDPO Adampur Manpreet Singh, Supervisor Jasveer Kaur and Sukhwinder Kaur in this incident.
